God created us for fellowship, with Himself, and one another. He designed us to grow together. We need each other. We’re to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit (Eph. 4:1-3). All of us are a work in progress
Certain companies and organizations have wellness programs. God’s wellness program is to grow in Christ-likeness. Jesus was the epitome of wellness, or wholeness.
Together, we grow in wellness (Eph. 4:11-13). To grow in Christ-likeness is to grow in wellness. We grow in Christ-likeness through our fellowship with Him, and our fellowship and service with our family in Christ.
The word for “equipping” implies a recovered wholeness, like a broken bone that mends. We need genuine, godly relationships to grow in wellness.
Together, we grow in effectiveness (Eph 4:15, 16). The Lord wants us to reach others and build His church. Ministry is effective when “every part does its share.” Wellness frees us to focus on, and serve others.
Inner wounds, maybe through no fault of our own, can hinder closeness in relationships, & our effectiveness.
*What inner wound do you want the Lord to heal? Keep pressing through to the Lord in faith (Mk. 5:24-34).
*How will you promote wellness and effectiveness in Christ’s body? What is your priority and commitment?
